The former Chester MP - well known for his woolly jumpers - has had a diverse career, including spells as a Lord Commissioner of the Treasury in John Major’s government and regular appearances on TV’s Countdown and radio’s Just a Minute. He also has his own arts and entertainment chat show on LBC 1152.
