UK - Hermes Property Unit Trust (HPUT) returned 19.7% in 2004, beating its benchmark by 150 basis points.
HPUT, a £494m balanced property unit trust, also reported at tracting £63m in new and additional allocations in 2004, including one UK local government fund that appointed the trust sole UK property manager. I nvestors in the Trust include the BT Pension Scheme and the Royal Mail Pension Plan and others.
Meanwhile, HPUT also annouced that Caroline Burton had been appointed to its management committee. Burton is currently a board/panel member of several pension funds and holds a number of non-executive director positions.
