UK - Friends Ivory & Sime has strengthened its strategy and global portfolio construction teams with two new hires.
Tim Lee joins the strategy team as senior economist, headed by Ian MacFarlane, head of strategy. He will be responsible for providing an analysis of trends in the global economy, as well as maintaining the economic component of asset allocation models. Prior to joining FIS, he worked as a European economist at Invesco Asset Management.
Sophie Horsfall joins the global portfolio construction team from Dresdner RCM Global Investors as a fund manager. She will report directly to Robert Pemberton, the firm's global portfolio construction head.
FIS is a specialist manager for both institutional and private investors dealing in socially responsible investment. The firm has £34.8bn of assets under management.
