UK - Gartmore Investment Management has gone live with a straight-through-processing solution, HiMessaging, from business solutions provider DST International.
Wendy Steel, Gartmore's head of information systems, said: We needed to enhance our STP capability by implementing a trade confirmation solution that could provide 24hr support for our global operation.
“We chose HiMessaging because it has both the internal and external connectivity necessary.”
HiMessaging provided validation, data enrichment and internal matching for equity and fixed income instruments. The implementation was part of a project to move the trade confirmation process to link to the front office rather than the back office systems.
Additionally, HiMessaging allows Gartmore to take advantage of current and future trade processing industry initiatives.
