UK - Henderson Global Investors and Professional Pensions are linking up to carry out an in-depth survey on institutional property investment.
Henderson – a major investor in property – says the survey, which takes the form of a written questionnaire, will be going out this week to the top 500 UK pension funds and other institutional investors.
The results will be published later in the year in Professional Pensions.
Henderson’s head of UK institutional business Arno Kitts said: “Despite equity markets showing some signs of recovery, forecasts suggest that medium-term gross returns from property are likely to be attractive – the survey aims to understand how attitudes to property as an asset class are evolving.”
Director of institutional business, responsible for the marketing of property investment products and services, Gabi Stein added: “In particular we want to ascertain whether the diversification and low volatility benefits of property are earning it a more permanent position in a mixed asset portfolio.”
