UK - Liberty Ermitage (Liberty) has appointed Jonathan Wauton to the new role of head of risk management and quantitative analysis.
Wauton - already a director at the firm - reports Ian Cadby, deputy chief investment officer and head of strategic investments.
He has worked with Cadby previously on Liberty’s single manager programme. His new role, working within a 3-strong risk analytics team, will be to expand the capability of Liberty’s portfolio risk evaluation and analysis.
Commenting on the move, Ron Mitchell, Liberty’s chief executive officer and chief investment officer: “Over the last 18 months, Liberty Ermitage has experienced a huge inflow of institutional assets to its hedge fund programmes and overall group assets under management now exceed US$2.3bn. Consequently we are boosting our infrastructure.”
