UK - Senior High Court judge Dame Elizabeth Butler-Sloss has backed government plans for legislation that would extend pension rights to same-sex couples.
She said: “I welcome the reforms announced by the government which will right a wrong to this small group of people who, among other disadvantages, cannot currently marry as they wish to do.”
