UK - Friends provident has set up a sales management team to distribute its pensions products through IFAs.
The move follows Friends Provident’s decision to close its direct sales operation with the loss of 500 jobs.
Director of UK distribution Simon Clamp said: “We anticipate the proposed regulatory changes will result in distribution in the future being focused on IFA and tied advice channels.
“This new structure will ensure we provide all the support mechanisms needed for each channel in the post-depolarisation world. We aim to grow our business successfully and this team has all the attributes to do just that.”
