Kames Capital has appointed David Ennett and Phil Milburn to lead its high yield bond team.
The pair will become co-managers on the Kames high yield bond and high yield global bond funds, with Milburn and Ennett leads on the funds respectively.
Milburn (pictured above) returns to his role at the company after taking leave due to ill health in September last year.
Ennett (pictured right) was previously head of European high yield and manager of the higher income and European high yield funds at Standard Life Investments from 2014.
They will both report to Kames' head of fixed income David Roberts who said the appointments would strengthen its high-yield expertise.
He said: "The appointment of David and the return of Phil marks an exciting time for Kames, as we will now have two of the UK's leading high yield specialists working together to further strengthen our award-winning high yield franchise.
"David is very experienced in the high yield market and shares the same investment philosophy as us at Kames Capital, while Phil is now refreshed and eager to get back into running funds."
Ennett was also high yield investment director at Standard Life Investments from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, he was deputy fund manager at Old Mutual Asset Managers from 2008 to 2010, and an associate at CIBC World Markets from 2007 to 2008.
