BESTrustees has appointed Karen Theobald to its team of trustee executives as the firm continues to expand.
Effective as of early February, she joins a team of over 30 trustee executives working across defined benefit and defined contribution schemes, master trusts and governance committees.
Theobald joins from Conduent (formally Buck Consultants) where she worked at as a pensions consultant for some 20 years. She was responsible for delivery of client services, initiating and developing a number of technical solutions including data administration services, benefit audit services, and Pension Protection Fund actuarial and administration services.
She was the chairwoman of trustee of the Buck pension scheme from 2010 until 2017. As a member of the Pensions Management Institute, she brings a blend of trustee and adviser experience to the role which will be based in Scotland to help develop the team's network, according to BESTrustees chairman Alan Pickering.
He added: "We are delighted that Karen has chosen to join us and feel certain that her personality and deep experience will considerably enhance the offering which we bring to the professional trustee marketplace, particularly in Scotland."
