Muse Advisory has appointed Chris Fagan as associate director to expand its governance team and help grow its UK advisory offerings.
Prior to his appointment at the independent pensions consultancy, Fagan was an investment director at Willis Towers Watson's (WTW) fiduciary management team for almost six years.
He was also a company-appointed trustee and investment committee member of the WTW pension scheme from 2013 to 2017, where he oversaw valuations, factor reviews, member communications and discretionary case settlements.
Commenting on the hire Muse Advisory chief executive officer Avgi Gregory, said: "He is a highly experienced investment specialist placing strong emphasis on good investment governance and bringing with him extensive relevant experience to strengthen our team."
In total, Fagan brings 27 years of UK pension scheme governance experience to his new role.
Commenting on his new role, Fagan said: "In particular, I am looking forward to working with an independent governance specialist where I can use my investment experience to help schemes enhance their governance and ultimately improve investment outcomes".
