Active pension membership returns to 11.1m all-time high

The number of active members of occupational schemes has returned to the record high set 33 years ago, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Its annual survey, published 22 September, showed around 11.1 million people were active members of occupational schemes last year. This is the same number as in 1983, when the ONS began collecting...
