Arc Pensions Law has announced Anna Copestake has been promoted from senior associate to partner, increasing its total number of partners to eight.
The promotion is the first internal move to partner the boutique firm has made, and the fourth partner appointment this year. Copestake's promotion was effective from 1 November.
She joined the firm from Sackers last year, and also chairs the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association's (PLSA) legal panel.
She commented: "I'm really pleased to join the partnership at Arc. It's a great firm with a distinctive culture and a great ethos. I feel I'm in an excellent position to do the best for our clients here."
Founding partner Anna Rogers added she was delighted with the growth of the firm since its inception in 2015.
"It's exciting to be promoting a talented and dynamic young lawyer like Anna from within the firm," she said. "Anna has fulfilled the promise she showed when we first recruited her and we take great pride in promoting her to our partnership.
"We're delighted that the partnership has doubled in size since April and we plan to continue to grow further in future years."
Copestake joined Arc in August last year, after five years as a senior associate at Sackers. She was previously a part-time legal secondee at the National Association of Pension Funds - now the PLSA - in 2012, and a solicitor specialising in pensions at Jones Day from 2006 to 2011. She also acted as a legal secondee for The Pensions Regulator in 2010.
She is also a member of the Security of Assets Working Party and the Association of Pension Lawyers' investment committee.
Six members of Ross Trustees’ pension trustee and support teams have been promoted into new roles.
Richard Butcher is set to spend another year as Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) chair as the trade body proposes his term is extended to autumn 2021.
