HMRC urged to extend GMP reconciliation deadline by a year

The government should extend its support for schemes seeking to reconcile guaranteed minimum pension (GMP) records until October 2019, Willis Towers Watson has said.

The consultancy warned potential capacity bottlenecks, insufficient data, slow turnaround times, and complex cases arising from discrepancies mean many schemes may not be able to reconcile the data...
