Croda reduces accrual rate despite deficit improvement

Chemicals company Croda International is changing the accrual rate of its pension scheme for new members, despite a slight improvement in its scheme deficit.

The company's interim results for the six months to 30 June show the scheme improved its post tax IAS19 deficit to £138m - compared with £150m in 2009. However, it said from September this year ...
