Sir Philip Green has urged Frank Field to "avoid another public spat" as the two heavyweights locked heads over any potential sale of high street conglomerate Arcadia.

The former BHS owner told the Work and Pensions Committee (WPC) chairman "18 months later everyone is bored with this story" and asked Field "why don't we call a truce?" Green was responding to a letter...
