US - The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) has doubled its allocations to corporate governance and hedge funds, each from $5bn to more than $10bn.
CalPERS Board president, Rob Feckner, said: “Corporate governance and hedge funds also help us to reduce risk since they are less affected by market swings than many other investment strategies.” ...
