US - Maximum monthly payments would rise to US$51,750 a year for pensioners in under funded schemes covered by the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), according to the latest guidelines published by the group.
The rise would represent an increase of $2,250 on the 2007 maximum rate and would be enforceable by law. The changes would affect the guarantees made to the 44 million workers covered by the PBGC. ...
