US - Pension plans' funding ratios fell by an average 11% in the first quarter of 2008, resulting in an overall drop of almost 24% over the past nine months, according to UBS.
The bank's Pension Fund Fitness Tracker showed the 8% drop in January, the sharpest since December 2002, had hurt funds the most, with the average funding level hitting 90% at the end of March. ...
