PPF 7800 hits £6.6bn surplus in July

The aggregate funding position of the 6,653 schemes in the Pension Protection Fund's 7800 index improved to a surplus of £6.6bn at the end of July.

This was an improvement from a deficit of £21.8bn at the end of June. The lifeboat fund said this relates to a funding ratio improvement from 97.6% to 100.7% - noting total assets were £921.2bn ...
