NAPF annual reveals further slump in open DB schemes

Some 17% of final salary pension schemes are now closed to new members and future accrual, National Association of Pension Funds research shows.

The figure, from its latest annual survey, was an increase from 3% in 2008 and 7% in 2009. The trade body said the figures pointed towards a "new phase in the decline of final salary" as schemes...
