IC Select has appointed Donny Hay as a director as it seeks to develop its business further alongside a new disclosure standard.
Hay joined the firm earlier this month, and has several years' experience in fiduciary management, most recently as head of clients UK at Kempen Fiduciary Management.
His appointment comes as the firm launched a ground-breaking disclosure standard for fiduciary managers, covering 520 pension schemes, almost all fiduciary managers, and around £84bn of assets under management.
Hay said: "I have spent seven years working as a professional trustee at Law Debenture and PTL Governance, as well as Kempen. The experience showed me that trustees need better guidance in deciding which fiduciary managers to pick and in judging their performance afterwards."
Managing director Peter Dorward added: "We're delighted Donny is on board. The extensive trustee and fiduciary manager experience he brings, adds even greater depth to our selection and oversight capability. This will help drive forward the IC Select Fiduciary Management Performance Standard effectively and efficiently."
Prior to joining IC Select, Hay was a client director at PTL Trustees from April 2017 to last month, and head of clients UK at Kempen Fiduciary Management from October 2015 to September 2016. He had also previously been head of clients UK at MN Fiduciary Management from 2013 to 2015, and a pension trustee director at Law Debenture Pension Trustees from 2010 to 2013.
He started his career at KPMG in 1981 as a taxation senior and audit manager, and is also a qualified chartered accountant.
