US - The full board of the California Public Employees Retirement System yesterday approved a state contribution of US$3.9bn, up $600m from last year.
The new rate will come into effect July 1, 2010, the start of the new fiscal year. Some $299m of the increase is due to longer life expectancy, while $217m will compensate for investment losses....
