UK - The total value of UK mergers and acquisitions fell by 52% in the last year to £46.5bn, research by KPMG Corporate Finance shows.
Globally, the market for M&As also fell, plummeting to levels last seen five years ago. The value of global M&A deals fell from US$1020bn in the first half of 2001 to US$448bn in 2002.
