UK - SG Asset Management has put in a bid to buy Rothschild Asset Management which currently runs £13bn worth of funds.
The move follows last month’s announcement by the Rothschild Group that it was looking to sell its pension and mutual fund units because they were too small to compete against larger market rivals.
