UK /NETHERLANDS - Pensions trustees have thwarted a takeover bid for chemical company ICI by Dutch conglomerate Akzo Nobel.
It has been reported that the trustees were adamant any takeover negotiations should go through them. The trustees had estimated the fund had a shortfall of between £543m and £2.8bn of March 2006. ...
