UK - Annual real estate returns averaged 12.2% over the five years to 2001 against 10.6% for large cap stocks, figures from property specialist LaSalle Investment Management show.
Chief executive officer, Europe, Jeff Jacobson said: “It is not that real estate is better but simply that it is different. “This difference reduces the risk of the overall portfolio.”
