UK - The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) will soon inherit the liabilities of its predecessor, the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), without gaining any of its assets, Global Pensions has learned.
A source close to the UK government said when the takeover went ahead, expected by the second quarter of 2009, all FAS assets would remain with the UK Treasury instead of transferring to the PPF. ...
