Mirror and Express publisher seeks deficit contribution suspension

Newspaper publisher Reach has requested discussions with the trustees of its pension funds to defer deficit recovery contributions (DRCs) to shore up finances during the coronavirus pandemic.

The company - which publishes the Daily Mirror, Daily Express, and Daily Star - confirmed today (6 April), it was seeking the discussions as it also announced plans to furlough around 1,000 staff, ...
