US - The California State Teachers' Retirement System will looks at ways to increase the use of internal asset management, particularly in its US$70.7bn global equities portfolio, and will conduct a "deep dive" of its private equity portfolio that could result in a cull of external managers, the scheme outlined in a report.
In its Investment Business Plan, to be discussed at an investment committee meeting on July 9, the pension scheme said it would explore different levels of internal versus external asset management...
